The Ivy Origin Story

From Nurse-Entrepreneur to Telehealth Pioneer.

In early 2020, LaToya Outley, MBA BSID, BSN, RN was running a thriving wellness spa as an advanced nurse injector—until COVID-19 shut the doors overnight. Determined to stay connected to her patients, she dove headfirst into telehealth. Within weeks, she was helping clients virtually, building a digital model that sustained private medical practices—and kept people safe—through the darkest days of the pandemic.


Discovering Remote Patient Monitoring

By 2023, the initial telehealth surge had eased, but she felt the pull toward something more lasting. A meeting with a California colleague introduced her to Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM)—real‐time, data-driven care that keeps clinicians and chronically ill patients connected beyond the clinic walls. She knew Texas, with its vast rural areas and stretched-thin practices, urgently needed this model.

Ambitious to serve at the height of COVID-19, The Ivy Operation Services was fueled to bring RPM to everyday Texans. Today, The Ivy’s nurses, health coaches, and behavioral specialists monitor and detect early warning signs, preventing hospital visits, and restoring peace of mind to families across the nation.
